Challenger 600 Cabin

Quick question: what is more like an airliner but is really a private jet? That would be the Challenger 600. Many flyers in the know liken this craft to the Boeing 737 thanks in no small part due to the amble cabin space. On paper that space measures out to a width of 8.2 feet and a height of 6.1 feet. But you shouldn’t only read about the Challenger 600, you need to experience if for yourself. The typical passenger compliment is anywhere between nine to twelve flyers, but you can also work the cabin to accommodate as many as nineteen passengers.  To carry all that luggage those passengers will have over 115 cubic feet of cargo space.

The Challenger 600 gets its power from two Avco Lycoming ALF502L engines. Thanks to recent modifications, those power house engines can pound out 7,500 pounds of thrust on takeoff.  With the right tailwinds, the Challenger 600 can breeze across the country in a snap consuming just an average of 262 gallons of fuel per hour.

You’ll be flying in comfort thanks to the spacious cabin but also thanks to be secure in the knowledge that the Challenger 600 has four backup power systems. The first line primary system is true tested 115-VAC 400-Hz electrical system. This particular system has been proven to provide more power than the typical DC power systems that you would find in most other business jets.  The primary backup is an AC alternator. That is followed by an AlliedSignal GTCP 36-100E APU and another AC generator. In other words, when it comes to power the Challenger 600 has you wired!
