There is something very exciting and futuristic going on in the cockpit of the Falcon 7X. This craft is among the first in the world to utilize the fly-by-wire control system. What fly-by-wire does is replace the manual flight control with a total electronic interface. With this system, an onboard computer sends signals in flight to perform functions normally handled by the pilot. In fact, the pilot doesn’t even have to make adjustments. The fly-by-wire will handle it all. This is taking the concept of autopilot to an entirely different level. Along with the FBW, the Falcon 7X also incorporates the Honeywell Primus EPIC Enhanced Avionics System. Another improvement on this model of the Falcon 7X is the curved windscreen windshield design. This allows the visibility on the Falcon 7X to be even better than the Falcon models which came before. And thanks to this curved design, drag and slipstream noise has also be greatly reduced. You’ll also notice right away that unlike other private jets, the 7X is a trijet, meaning there are three powerful engines moving this craft. Over in the cabin of the Falcon 7X flyers might recognize the feel from the Falcon 900 series. The difference here is that the 7X is a big taller with 6-foot 2-inch of headroom over a flat floor. The width of the cabin is just shy of 8 feet. All of this provides passengers with the right amount of space to freely move about the cabin. In fact, they’ll be able to move among three separate seating zones. There is also a very accommodating forward galley, crew rest area and bathrooms both forward and aft. Bottom line: the future of flight can be found with the 7X.
