Private Jet Charter Lear 31 Interior

The Learjet 31 is a twin-engine high speed business jet aircraft. American made, it is manufactured by industry leading transportation manufacturer Bombardier. The first model was introduced in 1987 and consequently the 31A variant followed in 1990.

The aircraft is noted for its well balanced design, encompassing the highly regarded engine and fuselage of the 35/36 models with the “Longhorn” wing of the 28/29 models. The 31 also sported “Delta Fins” at the bottom of the empennage, which dramatically increased directional stability along the vertical axis.

The 31A variant was a major upgrade, with a bevy of additional modifications and features driven by upgrading the cockpit and avionics significantly. A Honeywell Flight Information System 50 and a dual KFC 3100 two-axis autopilot and flight director with yaw damper were just a few of the upgrades.

In 2000 the aircraft was once again upgraded. The engines received a digital control (FADEC). This is quite significant because FADEC not only provides for efficient engine operation, it also allows the manufacturer to program engine limitations and receive engine health and maintenance reports. For example, to avoid exceeding a certain engine temperature, the FADEC can be programmed to automatically take the necessary measures without pilot intervention.
