103rd RUNNING OF THE INDY 500
Sunday, May 26 2019
The Indianapolis 500 holds the title as the most-attended single-day sporting event in the world. If you are among the 300,000 spectators flooding Indianapolis for The Indy 500, why not avoid the crowds and arrive by private charter? Indianapolis International Airport (KIND) is a 20-minute drive from “the Brickyard” and welcomes private charters at two well-appointed FBOs. If you want to avoid the commercial airport all-together and land even closer to the action, Eagle Creek Airport (KEYE) is a 10-minute drive and welcomes domestic private flights.
Ranked as a “Best Bucket List Sports Event,” make your experience at the Indy 500 truly memorable by arriving by private charter!
Carb Day, Friday, May 24
Although no car in the race has had a carburetor since 1963, the final practice session held on the Friday before race day is still dubbed “Carb Day”. Following this practice, the Indy Lights Freedom 100 race is run then the Pit Stop Challenge takes place.
Once the competitions ends the partying begins. This year two legendary bands will be entertaining fans with an opener by Kool & the Gang and Foreigner headlining the concert.
Legends Day, Saturday May 25
On Saturday the 33 starting drivers are presented their starter’s ring. Current drivers and special guests are honored with various awards in recognition of their racing accomplishments. Along with meeting the drivers fans can get an up-close look at the classic cars of the Indy 500, with several of these historic cars running laps of the circuit.
To top off Legends Day, Clayton Anderson, Carly Pearce and the Zac Brown Band will be taking the stage to entertain and count-down the moments to the big race.
And finally…The Greatest Spectacle in Racing!
One bottle of cold milk.
